The W. K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library

A valuable resource for information on the horses, breeders, and lore associated with our CMK Heritage can be found in the W. K. Kellogg Arabian Horse Library with its extensive collection of books, magazines, films, and rare documents.

The library is currently housed in the Old Kellogg Stables on the Cal Poly~Pomona campus and occupies *Raseyn's old stall and the two adjacent stalls, which at one time were Antez's (and later Farana's) and Ralet's.

This is a temporary situation and some records are still in storage, so if you are planning a visit, it is best to call or write ahead.

"I've made some unusual new purchases for the Kellogg Library, one of these is the November 1905 issue of Pacific Monthly. It includes the article 'Autobiography of Homer Davenport' and numerous of Mr. Davenport's cartoons. One of them is none too flattering of August Belmont of the Jockey Club. It is possibly the cartoon that led to the Jockey Club's refusal to register Davenport's 1906 desert imports and thus ultimately responsible for founding of the Arabian Horse Club of America (later AHRA) in 1908."
