   It's a Filly!
"We are thrilled beyond words!" reports Suzi Morris of Arieana Arabians. The proud breeders and owners of their second 100% Hearst-source filly, this grey filly was foaled March 23rd. Born black-brown, she is the mirror image of her full-sister Shaatina Moun born two years ago. All is well for both mare and foal. Sire: Blitzen of Pico. Dam: Haapey Pico. (03/23/03)

News From Sandy Obermeyer of Obermeyer Performance Arabians: "Blitzen of Pico salutes his daughter born May 6th! Dam of this striking chestnut filly is Inmorata, U.S. National Top Ten Champion in English Ladies Sidesaddle 2002 among other 2002 Class A Show Championships to her credit (...and Yes, all this while in foal with this adorable filly)."    It's a Filly!
News From Marci de la Torre of Pegasus Park Arabians: "Here is the latest pic of Aur Delight (FV Sharabba x Aur Magic Ali) taken July 26th at 3-1/2 months old. Such a beautiful girl." (07/26/03)

   It's a Colt!
Ausumm Danse (Ibn Aulrab x RT Sadearas Danse). Foaling Date: 06/22/03.  And here's the latest news on this precocious CMK colt  from Sharon Simas of Sha'ru Arabians ~

"Now I have to tell you what he's ["Ausumm"] been up to. You know I call him Hot Shot? That's exactly his attitude about everything. Rudy of course has another name for him which I won't repeat. Anyway Saturday Rudy put him out with his mom Sadie, and Auntie Marina, who is in foal to Ibn [Ibn Aulrab] by the way. They were only out for about five minutes when running full tilt up the hill from the bottom of the pasture comes Ausumm with Sadie & Marina trailing behind trying to catch up with him. He puts on the brakes, slides about ten feet (not quite enough), breaks the top rail of the fence with his head, pushes the middle rail off the posts with his chest and body, and jumps the bottom rail. Sadie & Marina stop of course and Ausumm, who thinks he just did something pretty wonderful, goes running off with Rudy chasing behind. He lost a little fur and his play time in the big pasture, but nothing more. Losing the playtime bothered him the most. Sandy [Warren] says he's the spitting image of his father [Ibn Aulrab] at that age. Oh woe is us.... they're always doing something.... That's part of what makes it so fun." (07/28/03)

   It's a Filly!
News From Sandy Obermeyer of Obermeyer Performance Arabians: "We are so excited and happy for Di Hopkins of White Horse Acres in Texas. Blitzen of Pico has sired this, his third daughter of the year, born September 23rd!" Dam of this gorgeous chestnut filly is Di's prized mare WH Shahara. Both parents are grey, and "Yes, the filly is definitely chestnut," as Di Hopkins has said, "...pink eye-liner and all." That's three for three this year for Blitzen of Pico, on lease to Di for adding another branch of the Gulastra influence to her herd. Bouquets and Congratulations to all! (10/07/03)
