From
our Arieana Notebook: Roaba is highly regarded as the dam of Roabrah,
a stallion
of influence in the pedigrees of Arieana's Arabians and valued for his carrying forward one of the five branches of the Rahas
sireline upon which our breeding program at Arieana Arabians is based.
Roaba was a beautiful,
dry, feminine mare of considerable quality and excellent Arabian type.
She was
foaled at The Kellogg Ranch, Pomona, California, then sold to William
Randolph Hearst, San Simeon, California when she was about two years old
where she proved herself to be a most valuable broodmare. After Mr. Hearst died, Roaba was sold again and
exported to Canada.
In her lifetime, Roaba was the dam of 13
registered purebred Arabian foals
(8 colts and 5 fillies), 12 of them sired by various stallions standing at
stud for William Randolph Hearst at his Hearst Ranch, San Simeon, California during the 1930's and 1940's.
She was 22 years old when her last foal was born.

From
our Arieana Notebook: Roabrah is highly regarded as a stallion
of influence in the pedigree families of Arieana Arabians. He sired Nigha,
the mare who carries forward the Bint Helwa tail female line in Blitzen of
Pico,
the sire of our own rising star Haat Pursuit.
Roabrah is also the maternal grandsire of Mounigha whose dynastic influence we highly value
as infused within the distaff side of the pedigrees of our foundation mares Haapey
Pico and Gleeful Pico.
Roabrah sired
a total of 13 registered purebred Arabian foals (7 colts and 6 fillies) before he was sold to Mexico.
