From our Arieana Notebook: Rayya is treasured within the CMK Heritage as the dam of *Raseyn. In her later years, she was purchased from Crabbet by Colonel Hamilton Leigh. We've been unable to locate information regarding the date and circumstances of her death.

From our Arieana Notebook: Riada was Lady Anne Lytton's favorite riding horse as a young girl at Crabbet. Riada died of twisted gut in 1920 at age 16. This is the only known photo of Riada, pictured here at age 9. To read more about the circumstances surrounding the discovery of this photo and the mares at Crabbet during this period, highly recommended is the website article "Mares at Grass" by Michael Bowling.
