From our Arieana Notebook: Harara was the result of breeding together two of the horses from out of Homer Davenport's 1906 Importation, *Deyr and *Haffia, and therefore is considered straight Davenport. Harara was purchased from Peter Bradley by F.E. Lewis II on August 22, 1918, and then used both as a working cow horse and as a sire at his Diamond Bar Ranch in Spadra, California. Later in his life Harara was sold to Puerto Rico where he disappears from public record. Harara carried the gene for light mane and tail coloration along with a coat of golden iridescence, and the natural sheen and beauty of this coat coloration can easily be seen in these two side view black and white photographs above.

Sire of 18 registered purebred Arabian foals (11 colts and 7 fillies) of which his son Antez is most highly regarded and appreciated for his influence in the pedigrees of Arieana's Arabians.
