Pedigree of Ferdilan AHR #658

From our Arieana Notebook: *Ferdin was named champion Arabian stallion at the Los Angeles National Horse Show as a two-year-old, defeating grown horses, and won at several other shows. *Ferdin was noted as a fine saddle horse, with a long-striding fast walk, good trot, and canter. He was described by Herbert H. Reese as having a perfect slope of shoulder, prominent withers, the best of legs, and the natural choice for correcting any deficiencies in size, forehand, and underpinnings; his leading son at Kellogg's was Rossdin. *Ferdin was sold to William Randolph Hearst in August 1934; to J.R. Cottom of Santa Barbara in 1937; to C.R. Upham of Newbury Park, California in 1941; to Charles H. Doner in 1945; to Robert L. Wing of Fresno in 1945. *Ferdin died September 21, 1950.
