Sire of 18 foals (12 colts and 6 fillies) both in England and here in the United States including his son Baarouf who is of significance mid-pedigree in the foundation bloodstock of Arieana Arabians.

From our Arieana Notebook: In England *Aldebar was known and registered as Aldebaran. The Prince of Wales, breeder of *Aldebar, later briefly became King Edward VIII ~ the controversial English king who abdicated his throne to marry American divorcee Wallis Warfield Simpson. In 1929 the Prince of Wales (not yet king) sent *Aldebar to his ranch in Canada, and from there *Aldebar was purchased and imported to the United States by Henry B. Babson. In the United States, Aldebaran's name had to be changed to *Aldebar because we already had a different Aldebaran previously registered in our studbook. (Notes derived from Carol W.
